Who we are:
The BGT team is comprised of recognized professionals in the commodity and green/ roasting coffee industry.  We have held senior management and board positions in the leading industries, and as Board Members of the Coffee Advisory Group for LIFFE (London Financials Futures and Options Exchange), European Terminal Markets Committee for the European Coffee Association, Swiss Coffee Trade Association, The Starbucks Foundation, The Green Coffee Association, and The Pacific Coast Coffee Association.

Jaime R. Polit

Mr. Polit founded Be Green Trading SA (BGT) in 2009 and has over 30 years of managerial and international coffee/commodity trading experience across the globe with a focus on commodity price risk management. 

From 2006 to 2009 he was a consultant for commodity trading and sustainable investment strategies for the Fund of Funds, Signet Advisory Services.  Prior to that he was the Managing Director for Europe/Asia/Africa for the ECOM Coffee Group after having served as the Managing Director of ECOM Mexico from 1993 - 1997.

He started his commodity trading career with Cargill Inc. and is an active member of the coffee industry where he holds, or has held, board positions for the National Coffee Association of America (NCA), the Swiss Coffee Trade Association (SCTA) and the Coffee Advisory Group (CAG) for the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) amongst others.

Jaime holds a BBA in Business from Stetson University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
