The BGT team is comprised of recognized professionals in the commodity and green/ roasting coffee industry.  We have held senior management and board positions in the leading industries, and as Board Members of the Coffee Advisory Group for LIFFE (London Financials Futures and Options Exchange), European Terminal Markets Committee for the European Coffee Association, Swiss Coffee Trade Association, The Starbucks Foundation, The Green Coffee Association, and The Pacific Coast Coffee Association.


Jaime R. Polit

Mr. Polit founded of Be Green Trading S.A. (BGT) in 2009 and has over 25 years of managerial and international coffee/commodity trading experience in Europe, United States, Latin America, Asia and Africa.

Jaime has an in depth and hands on knowledge base of international commodity risk management having multiple levels of working experiences in the field.  From 2006 – 2009 he was a strategy consultant on commodity trading and sustainable investments for Signet Advisory Services.  Prior to that he was the acting Managing Director for Europe/ Asia/ Africa and Mexico with the ECOM Coffee Group 1993 -2006, Managing Director of Louis Dreyfus Coffee, Mexico 1992 -1993 and Senior Trader at Cargill Coffee Inc. 1987 - 1992.  He has held several board positions on international coffee trade associations and holds a BBA in Business from Stetson University and a MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.


Pedro de Boeck

Mr. de Boeck brings 25 years of experience in Management Consulting and Private Equity investments, including 15 years at McKinsey & Company.  While at McKinsey he was an active member of the Global Telecommunications and Global Strategy Practices; he was also worldwide leader of the Postal sub-practice. As a partner, he advised senior executives around the world and led multiple turnaround programs for large corporations. Prior to this he worked for Strategic Planning Associates (Mercer Consulting) in London and Singapore (1986-1990).

Since 1995 Pedro has held seats on the boards of companies in the commodity industry (Fontenoy and Iscal Sugar), food ingredients (Warcoing/Cosucra Group, Sweetwell (Chairman)), second generation cellulosic biofuels (Blue Sugars Corp.(Chairman)), and has acted as managing director of a family holding company.  Pedro graduated in 1986 from the SOLVAY business school of the Free University of Brussels (Magna Cum Laude) and holds an MBA degree from INSEAD, Fontainebleau (1991).

Thierry Dubois

Mr. Dubois brings over 24 years of experience in international commodity and agri-business in developed and emerging markets. Thierry has excelled as an accomplished commodity risk-manager including supply chain logistics, freight, warehousing and trade finance in emerging and mature markets.

He was a Managing Director at AWB (Australian Wheat Board) Geneva SA where he headed AWB Limited’s international expansion and strategy into South and North America, Europe, India and Asia making his office the highest earner for the group.  He previously held senior managerial and trading positions with Louis Dreyfus Corp in Paris, France and Andre & Cie in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he successfully launched, developed and managed new businesses. Thierry is based in Lausanne, Switzerland and holds an MBA from ESSEC, Paris, France.
